privacy
last updated 2026-05-26 ยท beta. will be expanded before public launch.
what we collect
- your phone number (so we can reply)
- the content of messages you send thomas (so he can remember context)
- thomas's replies (same reason)
- timestamps and basic metadata (delivery status, opt-out state)
what we don't collect
- your name (unless you tell thomas)
- your contacts, photos, or anything else on your phone
- any payment info during beta (it's free)
where it lives
conversation history is stored in a cloudflare D1 database (sqlite at the edge). embeddings for the bible used in retrieval live in cloudflare vectorize. nothing is sold to third parties.
who sees it
the LLM provider (google's gemini API, or anthropic's claude API, depending on routing) processes each message to generate a reply. they have their own data-handling terms. the operator (us) has admin access for support, abuse detection, and prompt iteration. nobody else.
how long
indefinitely during beta. after public launch we'll offer deletion via STOP keyword plus an email request.
your controls
- text STOP to opt out โ thomas will go quiet and we'll stop replying
- text START to come back
- email hello@askthomas.app to request deletion of your conversation history
children
thomas is for adults (18+). we don't knowingly collect data from minors.
changes
we'll update this page when policy changes. material changes will be flagged.
